Schools Uniforms

A school uniform is worn roughly two hundred days a year by someone who is not trying to look after it. It has to survive that and still look correct in March.

Overview

What schools needs

School supply is a sizing problem as much as a manufacturing one. A parent who buys a size 30 shirt this year expects the same size to fit the same way next year, so we grade the whole run against a single set of measurements and hold that spec across reorders rather than re-cutting patterns each session.

Durability is designed in at the wear points — knee, elbow, seat and pocket — and growth allowance through deep hems and adjustable waistbands genuinely extends the life of a garment by a term or more.

The crest carries the school identity, so it is treated as a controlled element: digitised once, stitched out for approval, then reproduced identically across every size in the range.

Requirements

What we design around

  • Colour-fast dyeing

Navy that is still navy at the end of the academic year, not grey.

  • Consistent grading

The same size fits the same way across sessions and reorders.

  • Crest reproduction

One approved stitch-out, reproduced identically on every garment.

Garments we supply

  • Shirts & blouses

  • Trousers & skirts
  • Sweaters & cardigans
  • Ties & socks
  • PE and sports kit

Yes. Send vector artwork, or a clear photograph of an existing badge if that is all you have. We digitise it and send a physical stitch-out for approval before bulk production.
